The 10th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation opened today at the “Yyldyz” hotel in Ashgabat.
Tatarstan was represented by a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan O. Korobchenko, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The meeting's agenda included the practical implementation of previously reached agreements, as well as promising areas for fruitfully developing cooperation.
Speaking about the existing opportunities for expanding cooperation in priority areas, the parties confirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation and specified promising areas, specifically trade and economics, oil and gas, energy, and industry.
Particular emphasis was placed on such areas as transport, communications and information technology, textile industry, agriculture and environmental protection, science, education, healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, culture, sports and youth policy.
It was emphasized that the implementation of joint projects in various areas will be of practical importance for both sides.
The 10th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation will continue its work on November 21, the source noted.
