The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in August in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone, will be fully supported by modern communication systems. This was reported by the newspaper Turkmenistan with reference to the country’s Ministry of Communications.

According to the article, Wi-Fi equipment has been put into operation in the Avaza sports complex — the venue for the conference — as well as in adjacent buildings and at the Turkmenbashi International Airport. The sports complex has also been equipped with high-quality audio systems, and server equipment along with corporate email has been provided for the official forum website.

To increase the allocated internet bandwidth and ensure uninterrupted connectivity, the necessary measures for backup of dedicated lines have been implemented.

It is also noted that fiber-optic and internal communication cables have been installed in the hotels, and a Wi-Fi system has been launched. Hotel guests will have access to the “AlemTV” service, which offers more than 200 TV channels.

The launch of 4G+ at the Turkmenbashi International Airport, along the road to the Avaza tourist zone, and within the conference venue itself will double internet speed. Foreign guests will also be able to easily purchase SIM cards and e-SIMs from the “Altyn Asyr” mobile network. Special customer service centers have been opened at the airport and other locations for this purpose.

The third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is held once every ten years, is expected to be attended by heads of state and government from 32 countries, the UN Secretary-General and his deputies, a number of international and regional organizations, financial institutions, public associations, as well as leaders and representatives from the private sector.
