Today, on International Children's Day, the grand opening of a major children's festival, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan jointly with UN agencies in Turkmenistan, took place in Ashgabat Park.
The event was also organized by the Ashgabat City Administration, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, and the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
The festivities began at 10:00 with a grand opening ceremony, followed by a rich entertainment program for young guests and their parents. The park featured numerous themed areas and interactive zones where children could participate in various workshops, creative workshops, and sports activities.
All visitors—children and adults—were treated to free fruit, pastries, and juices. A puppet show, "Aladdin," was performed for younger viewers. They could dance with fairytale characters along the park paths to upbeat music.
Songs were played, dance and musical groups, and circus performers performed at various locations throughout the park. Young chess players took refuge in shady park pavilions, while young artists had the opportunity to express their creative abilities in the open air.
