Turkmen Exports Via Shabat Border Trade Center Reach 1,700 Tons

More than 1,700 tons of goods were exported to Uzbekistan through the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center Shabat in January–March this year, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reported Thursday.

According to the statement, about 60,000 citizens of Uzbekistan made purchases in the Shabat border trade zone.

During the same period, more than 250 tons of goods were imported into Turkmenistan through Shabat.

The Shabat border trade center was commissioned in November 2025. Trade operations conducted through the center are exempt from all customs duties and other payments
