National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said Wednesday that President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov decided to award The National Equestrian Games Group Galkynyş to strengthen its material and technical base. The announcement was made during a visit to the Gorogly State Equestrian Circus, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the group and said the award would contribute to further successes. He presented a monetary prize to the head of the group, while each member received artistically designed horse saddles.

He also congratulated the group on its international recognition during the year themed “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” noting that The National Equestrian Games Group Galkynyş received international certificates at the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo for its significant contribution to the development of circus arts.

Officials said a number of events are planned in Turkmenistan and abroad throughout 2026, with the program already finalized. They expressed confidence that the group would достойно represent Turkmenistan and raise the national flag at international venues.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also held a working meeting at the Gorogly State Horse Circus with the rector of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, P. Bayramdurdyyev, as well as the vice president of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the International Association “Türkmen alabaý itleri,” B. Rejepov.

Later the same day, the At-myrat training center received a 1.5 million manat monetary gift from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
