The Governor of Mary Velayat Begenchmyrat Orazov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda. The meeting took place in the building of the administrative center of Mary Velayat, the press service of the Tajik diplomatic mission reported.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry, as well as in the cultural, humanitarian and tourism sectors.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Agreement between the Executive Body of State Authority of Khatlon Region of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Governor of Mary Velayat of Turkmenistan on the implementation of international and foreign economic relations.

The parties noted the importance of establishing permanent working contacts between enterprises and entrepreneurs of the two regions, as well as mutual participation in events and information about current projects being implemented in Khatlon and Mary regions.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the diplomatic mission added.
